Background |
Stumbled
upon by chance, Australian Stephen initially
hoped for a higher level of football when
he arrived in Singapore for the first time. A stint in the
Cosmo League beckoned, but having
kicked off his football here with the Vipers, he abandoned his ambitions to play at a
higher
level and has bonded well with the Vipers squad
ever since.
A keystone in
the Vipers defence, "Steve" as he is endearingly called in the
Vipers dressing room, quickly
developed himself into a regular
starter for the Vipers during the 2010/11 EFL season. His
commitment to the cause and ability for combat both aerially
and on the ground has won him the respect of the entire
club. He has been handed the captain's armband for the first
team after former skipper Li
Yu stepped down at the end of the 2010/11 season. |
