Background |
Former member of the Hwa
Chong International's school football team and Accenture
Singapore FC skipper, and a regular feature in Joo Chiat
CC's side, Li Yu is
not short on
competitive experience. His calm demeanor and wonderful
football brain make him Vipers'
natural choice for the
captain's armband. Possessing great passing ability, Li Yu
is very often
instrumental in starting the Vipers' attacks.
Li Yu
finished the 2008/2009 season as the second runner-up for
the Vipers Players' Player of the Season, and captained the
club to the Qualifying Division title in 2009/2010. He has
since stepped down from captaincy of the club to focus on
his duties as a director of the Fandy Ahmad Academy but
remains a squad player at Vipers.
